A fire occured at House No. 729, Monday, January 15, 1945.
Tire alarm was given about 6:15 A.W.

Cause:
mhp fire started from a kerosene range in the kitchen.
A match which was used to light the burners in the stove
wss tossed into a pon or tray which is attached to the stove
underneath the burners. This pan contained other match stems
which had previously been tossed into the pan in a similar
manner. These stems were moist with kerosene which had seepcd
into the can from the burners or perhaps a slight leak. The
flame of the match obviously was not entirely extinguished
· vhen the nate? landed in the pan. A flame flared up in the
Dan and unread from there.
Equipment used:
Ho equipment was used. The fire was extinguished before the
fire truck arrived by use of a kitchen sink spray-hose.
