further reference to L&N freight bi ll #20 amounting to $51.29, paid
111 our Settlement #50, which you returned to ue with your letter of
september 20, 1946. we were too late in receiving this freight bill
to collect the overcharge of $5.09 in the freight charges as the local
* LMI Railroad Agent had returned this overcharge to their Louisville,
Kentucky, office. Therefore, on October 14th we forwarded to Mr. J .B.
Parker . 13th Floor, our Request for Claim N0. 748, your Ho. 85316,
dated September 28, 1945, coverlng this refund, and the above freight
bill was included in support of our claim.
we have not collected the refund, and todute the above
freight claim remains unpaid. we suggest that you contact tm
Louisville, Kentucky, office as no doubt they will be in position
to pay this claim.

infomation in connection with the installation of Air Brakes during
the second half of year 19L6. Regarding the 75 air brake unite
referred to in your letxaer, wish to advise that we placed order in
October, l9L,6, and to date these unite have not been received,
We would appreciate it~if you would furnish ue with the
car numbers of IHCX care transferred to the Steel Mill, and also
the numbers of thoee that have been equipped with "HB" Brakes.

Regarding the difference of 73 units installed, wish to
anviee you that ae of June 30, 194e, 2OL care equipped with "AB"
V brakes is correct, as SA were equipped daring February, March,
April, May, and June,l9L6, and 19 equipped during July, August,
and September, a total of 73 care dquipped with "AB” brakes during
the year IQL6.
with respect to tie information regarding cars transferred
to the Steel Mills, we find that crre Nb. 326, AO6, and L39 have been
equipped with "AB" brakes, and the remaining 15 have not.
ls requested we are attaching statement showing the cars
that have been equipped with "AL” brakes to—date.
