These films are very valuable records and quite often are in-
valuable in establishing that an employee claiming an injury had 4
suffered an injury.
Dr. Parks advises me that because of the lack of space in his office
I he is compelled to get rid of a large number of these films. The
x—ray films in his office have accumulated to such an extent that
it is impossible for him to keep the old films. I do not have ade-
quate storage space in which to keep them. I have suggested to
I Dr. Parks that he go through these films and pick out all of them
I which were taken at the request of any coal company and that he turn
these films over to the companies at whose request they were taken
so that they may have them for future reference. I think that it is
extremely important that this be done and for that reason suggest
that you have some one call at Dr. Parks' office and pick these
films up and that they be carefully preserved.
G I think that this will not only be an advantage to you, but that the
i films that the other companies keip may, at a later date, be of ad- »
vantage to you.
I Yours very truly,

COXAPEZNSATTON - E$i>.LAR"¥ EMPLDIFB
A question has arisen with respect to the payment of compensation
to full time salaried employes, (l) For vnd during; period of temporary
total disability and, (2} Payment for permanent partial disability »
following their return to work and, of course, concurrently with the
payment of salary. ·
For exmnplman employe is receiving a weekly salary of say $50.00
and sustains e disabling; injury in which we are required to pay $15.00 e
per week temporary total compensation over an indefinite period of time ‘
and following his return to work it is determined that permanent partial
‘ disability has been sustained which must be compensated. Should credit
be taken from salary paid during; period of temporary total disability
and applied to the amount due for permanent partial disability?
In the current example there would be s difference of 22»ee.oo per
week between the tenporery total compensation paid and the salem; which _
might oe desired to take credit for, provided of course, the $15.00
e compensation was credited on the salary and not paid to employe.
We shall very greatly appreciate it if you will advise us if the A
company has some fixed policy respecting this matter and if not what,
in your opinion, would be a fair and just settlement, so that we may
4 have some basis on which to decide any case arising in connection with
salaried employee.
