Scope and Content
These are microfilmed records of the Daviess County Distilling Company and papers of the Medley family who owned the company for many years. The microfilm consists of fifty volumes kept by the Medley family, including letterbooks, account books, and scrapbooks containing correspondence and miscellaneous business papers. There are also volumes with whiskey recipes and labels, information about Owensboro distilleries and a sketch of the Medley family. There is also a scrapbook containing a 1936 copy of THE RECORD, the official newspaper of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville, which was devoted to the 150th anniversary of Catholic settlement in Kentucky.
