A KENTUCKY*S POPULATION?
M_ A Summary of Population Data for Counties
Compiled by James S. Brown, Paul D. Richardson,
gl and Ralph J. Ramsey
_ Department gf_Rg;al Sociology
g Introduction
Here is the material on population you have been asking for.
* Though compiled mainly from the census, this report also includes data
‘ from studies made by the U. K. Department of Rural Sociology, the U.K.
Bureau of Business Research, the State Department of Economic Security
V and the U. S. Department of Agriculture.
. Guided by your requests, we have tried to put as much useful
a data in this report as possible. We have not, therefore, given any in-
J terpretation of the material, and we have kept the tables as simple and
` clear as possible. By comparing your county in various respects with
6 other counties and with the state as a whole, you will, we hope, better
lp understand the present situation and be more able to plan for the future. H
_ If you need more help either in interpreting the data given
5 here or in securing more detailed information, write to the Department
p` of Rural Sociology, University of Kentucky.
