Dear Victor:

I am glad to hear that the printing is finished and that you are ready
to bring the opus over. Since there is question of measuring the titulus
for the Crucifix, Sunday would not be a good day as there is always a crowd
around in the novitiate. But let us make it Saturday the 7th. I look forward
to seeing you then.

Now I have a little idea for something to print. It is a beautiful prayer
of Cassiodorus at the end of his De fin Anima. Perhaps by the 7th I will have a
rough translation finished for yofi_to see. End of course I would write a little
introduction. In all, it would probably be almost the same length as Hagia Sophia.

In fact I am thinking of doiny more worl on Cassiodorus.I have been reading
a lot of his work. I wonder if Carolyn has in the bibrary the critical edition 06
L'assiodorus's "Institute" ( done by R.A.B.Mynors, Oxford, 1937). Or if she
has anything else on him. All I have is Highs and a coupleof learned Catholic journals
that have some articles on him.

Also perhaps Carolyn might find for me a good history of the late Roman
Empire, especially covering the Barbarian invasions and the state of affairs
in the 6th century. This would be useful for background to Cassiodorus.

I look forward very much to seeing you both. Meanwhile, God bless you.

And all best wishes. I am still happy about the painting.

Ever cordially yours in Christ,
