Biography / History
Gina Webb is a historian living in Boyle County, Kentucky. During the 1990's she conducted oral history interviews with residents of Perryville, Kentucky about local history.
Scope and Content
The Gina Webb papers (dated 1992-1999, undated; 0.45 cubic feet; 1 box) comprise transcripts, historical notes, letters, and some photographs and negatives gather by Webb for an oral history project with residents of Perryville, Kentucky. The transcripts cover the town, the people, the culture, the commerce. Of significance, the collection includes interviews and photographs related to slavery, and the post-Civil War settlement in Boyle County of former enslaved persons called Sleettown.
