ington. Ky“ will hold its Thirty-eighth Annual Exhibition
September 1t), 11. 12. 11% and ll, 19th”, on the beautiful grounds of the
K. T. ll. and B. Association. Lexington and the Blue (truss country
extends a cordial welcome to the citizens of Kentucky and adjoining
states to this great exhibition of Live Stock, consisting of mules and
lack stock, beef and dairy cattle, sheep, swine, poultry and products
from garden and farm, Every department and class will represent
the. best in its line to be seen at the fairs this season.

Floral Hall will contain a most interestingr exhibit of every sort
of womans’ Work with an art display and other features. The speed
program is complete with an extensive raeing feature true to 21 Ken-
tuckian's heart. Mr. Booker T, \Vashington has been anllLtl to be
the guest of the assaociation and the indications are that we shall see
the largest crowd ever assembled on our grounds during the, meeting
on that day, The Eighth Regimental Band of Chicago, will furnish
music for the meeting; 'l‘hisorganizatioii is composed of about thirty
flI'HI class artists and ranks, as one of the best bands in America There
will be several big t‘rce attractions, which have never appeared in the
State before. to delight the visitors. Win. t}. McKinney iii the most
sensational act eVer attempted by man - Shooting and leaping the
Double Death .(lap Flumes and Loop - will be seen twice daily. Other
interesting free attractions, besides a large number of shows, merry—
go round and other amusements for young:r and old, will entertain those
who attend. Boytou‘s Canine Circus of performing: dogs is another
free attraction which will delight the children. Cvery precaution will
be taken to preserve the host of order and secure to all who attend the
best timeof their life. Come meet your friends at the Fair. Rates
one fare plus 25c for round trip. The management desires to thank

every one who has contributed in any way to thosuccess of our meet-
ing eapacially those who contributed so liberally to our premium list.

;’ Tickets must he procured, tlH no money will be received at

the gates.
:1 Books for entry of stock will he open ten days before the

4 The Fair will open each morning at, 9 o‘clock, by which
hour all entries should he made.

:3 All stoek should be entered in the name of the owner or his
agent.

t5 Exhibitors will please be careful that they enter their stock
or articles in proper classes.

7 No person who is an exhibitor may act as judge in the ring
in which he or she exhibits.

Judges must not cout'er with each othen \Vheu each judge
has formed his or her opinion, they shall report the same to the Ring-
master. and he report their decision to the Secretary, and then pro-
claim the names ut' all persons entitled to premiums.

ft Judges are requested to pay strict attention to the conditions
governing the class in which they judge, and render their decisions
aceordingly.

I” No person except judges and members of the Association
shall be allowed in the ring while the stock is being exhibited.

l] The gates of the amphitheatre shall he closed ten minutes
after the call of the Nlai’Hhal for each class of stock.

12 No stock will he allowed to enter the ring unless under
halter and in care of a groom

lit If any person makes known to the judges his ownership of

premium on said stock or article.

14 Where premiums amount to ten dollars, it will require two
or more entries to fill the ring. When the premium is over ten dollars
and not more than twenty dollars, it requires three or more to fill; all
over twenty dollars will require four or more to fill the ring.

15 All premiums Will be paid in current money if not other
wise stated.
16 All harness horses or mares, two years and over, will he re~

quired to be shown in harness.

17 Cattle, hogs, sheep and poultry are left in the care of their
respective attendants. The Association will not. be responsible for
their safety.

18 Stockholders of the Association must apply to the Secretary
for their proper badges before the Fair begins

19 A member complying with the preceding rule will be allow-
ed free entrance with his family, which will consist of wife, unmarried
daughters and sons under twenty years of age.

20 Entrance fee will be five per cent of premium for all ring
exhibits. No entrance fee will be charged for Floral Hall.

21 Where there is no competition only the first premium will
be paid.

'I‘ROTTING, RUNNING AND BICYCLE RACES.

1 All trials shall be governed by the rules of the National
Trotting Association, of which this Association is a member.

We require five to fill and three to start. Entrance fee 10 per
cent of purse, 5 per cent to accompany the nomination and 5 per cent
to be paid before the race is called,

3 Entries in the Trotting Purses will close September 3, at 1]
o’clock p. m. And all entries to the Running Purses will close at 10
o’clock a. m, on the same day of the race.

4 All purse and stake money to be divided as follows: 60 per
cent to the first horse, 25 per cent to the second horse, and 15 per cent

5 No horse will be entitled to but one money in case any horse
is distanced or disqualified.

6 All trots will be called promptly at 2 o’clock, regardless of

governed by the rules of the League of American Wheelmen.
