J- was sorry txat Carolyn's mother was ill arm that you could not
come last month. L hope everything is going better now. J1 have been very
busy with visitcrs the past week or two, mostly semi ofi'ic ial things,
b‘rencn D'enedictines for wnom L had to interpret etc. Now things are
canning down again a little, and I can look fomard, i hope, to seeing
you both again. ‘l‘wo dates occur to me: august 31, and Dept. 1h. o‘ept
7 is also a possibility if it is better for you, but the lhth is much better
for BB, and on that day I think you will be able to come earlier if you like.
But in any case i can re et you about 12. lb on any of thoae days. Let me
know if they are good. I am juSt sending back to J. the proofs of a book
of verse he isbringing out this fall.
