The picture on the cover of this issue of the Narrative Report draws a sharp contrast between an old dilapidated schoolhouse, appearing in the inset, and a modern school building. The former is one of a number in Kentucky now being replaced by WPA constructed school buildings, of which the one shown is a typical example. It is a four-room school of native sandstone quarried on the project
