Project #19 District 2: Cover picture. On the front of this issue of the Monthly Narrative Report appears a photograph of the completed Kirkwood Bridge in Mercer County. This reinforced concrete structure was erected under Project #19. It replaces a condemned wooded covered bridge and provides an outlet for approximately 100 persons. The work of wrecking and salvaging the old Kirkwood Bridge and the repair and improvement of approximately five miles of the Kirkwood Pike, leading to the bridge, were accomplished by Project #2619, later consolidated under Master Project #2748

You may come across language in UK Libraries Special Collections Research Center collections and online resources that you find harmful or offensive. SCRC collects materials from different cultures and time periods to preserve and make available the historical record. These materials document the time period when they were created and the view of their creator. As a result, some may demonstrate racist and offensive views that do not reflect the values of UK Libraries.
If you find description with problematic language that you think SCRC should review, please contact us at SCRC@uky.edu.
