Scope and Content
The Movie and television scripts collection (dated 1961-1990, undated; 1.6 cubic feet; 4 boxes) comprise movie scripts that document film making in the United States and England in the second half of the twentieth century. A majority of scripts are based off of true stories and novels. The scripts come from popular television shows such as Murder, She Wrote; M*A*S*H*, The Jeffersons, and movies such as The Gift of the Magi and The Swarm. Three of the television scripts are signed by prominent actors in each show, Angela Lansbury for Murder, She Wrote; Alan Alda for M*A*S*H*, and Marla Gibbs for The Jeffersons; and the movie The Swarm is signed by actor George Segal.
The Movie and television scripts collection is part of the Wade Hall Collection of American letters, which includes correspondence and diaries from all over North America covering the time period of the Civil to Korean Wars. The materials were collected by Wade Hall and document everyday men and women.
