THE KENTUCKY REVIEW -
The Editorial Board of The Kentuck Review has accepted for publication "An Interview
with Sarah Blanding" by Bill Cooper of the Special Collections Department. The article
consists of excerpts from the transcript of an interview which Bill conducted as part
of the.Alumni/Faculty Oral History Project and is prefaced by a biographical Sketch
of Sarah Blanding, who was a student and a dean of women at the University of Kentucky
and later president of Vassar College. It will be printed in the second issue of the
journal, which is scheduled to appear early in 1980.
Material for the third issue of Thg_Kentucky Review is now being gathered and considered.
Contributions on any aspect of the humanities are welcome. Members of the library
staff are particularly encouraged to submit articles based on research in the collections
of the university libraries, as one purpose of Thg_Review is to promote research at the
libraries and to increase knowledge of our holdings. Articles should be typed with
double spacing throughout and should include necessary documentation, in the format
set forth in the second edition of the MIA Style Sheet and in the M A Handbook. Mary
j Davis, managing editor of the journal, will be glad to answer questions. Articles

 » THE KENTUCKY REVIEW (continued)
should be sent to Mary at the Art Library.
AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Anyone joining the ALA before November 30, 1979 will save 20% from the regular dues!
This will include the rest of 1979 plus all of 1980. What a bargain! We old-timers
could cry—there should be some sort of bargain for sheer longevity in the organization.
Those interested can write: American Library Association, 60 East Huron Street,
Chicago, Illinois 60611.
ART LIBRARY TOUR
The tour of the Art Library scheduled for November 9 has been postponed due to
conflict with the KLA meeting in Lexington. A new time will be announced later.
