Campus magazine
deserves funding;
conditions necessary

The newly named Campus magazine —— Turnstyles —
w .int s. some money to begin publishing again.

\\ e think they should get it.

ltrrt we also think there should be a little give and take.
.\ny time a publication that might encourage students to
write. think and show a little creativity is offered around

here. it should get a chance.

The Student Government Association. while maybe not
the best alternative for funding. is a viable one. Every
campus organization. every student, is a member of SGA
and should have the opportunity to request funding.

Ilow ever. publication of a magazine is going to take a
lot of work and the editors of Turnstyles must be willing to
exert a little effort themselves — financial effort.

Tonight. SGA should allocate Turnstyles the $1.228 it is
requesting. however. there should also be some stipula-

trons

Turnstyles by the end of the year. tnust show some fi-
nancial stability and responsibility.

In other words. by the end of next semester. Turnstyles
should have at least $1.228 of revenue to match the $1.228 it

w ill be receiving from SGA.

It would show that Turnstyles has made a commitment
and followed through on that commitment.

It would also show. at least to some extent. that Turn<
styles has been somewhat of a success .-. at least from a

:triancral perspective.
Whether this

would be a binding or

gentlemen's

agreement
