- Farmer. Alfred Shelby, the youngest child of governor Isaac Shelby, inherited his father's farm, "Traveler's Rest", in Lincoln County, upon the death of the former governor.
- Scope and Content
- This collection consists of suits in the Chancery Court among the heirs of Alfred Shelby. The suits concerning Alfred Shelby's estate include copies of his will, a drawing of the Shelby family holdings in Lincoln County, divisions of the land, slaves and reports and other legal documents.
