Biography / History
Farmer. Alfred Shelby, the youngest child of governor Isaac Shelby, inherited his father's farm, "Traveler's Rest", in Lincoln County, upon the death of the former governor.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of suits in the Chancery Court among the heirs of Alfred Shelby. The suits concerning Alfred Shelby's estate include copies of his will, a drawing of the Shelby family holdings in Lincoln County, divisions of the land, slaves and reports and other legal documents.
