Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Kentucky on the
31st day of May, 1961.

     The Board of Trustees of the University met in the President? s Office on
the campus of the University at 10:00 a.m. , EST, on Wednesday, May 31, 1961,
pursuant to adjournment of the regular meeting of May 30, 1961, as provided
and required by a motion duly adopted at the aforesaid meeting, all of which
is set forth in the minutes of said meeting. The following members were
present: Harper Gatton, Dr. Ralph J. Angelucci, Dr. H. B. Murray, Dr. R. W.
Bushart, W. F. Foster, Dr. Paul B. Hall, Floyd H. Wright, J. Stephen Wat-
kins and Aubry Brown. Absent: Hon. Bert Combs, Governor of the Common-
wealth and Chairman of the Board; Hon. Robert P. Hobson, Vice Chairman of
the Board; Emerson Beauchamp, Clifford E. Smith, Wendell Butler, Mrs. Paul
G. Blazer, Thomas D. Clark and Robert H. Hillenmeyer. President Frank G.
Dickey and Secretary Frank D. Peterson met with the Board.

     It having been ascertained that a quorum was present for the transaction
of business, and both the Chairman and Vice Chairman being absent, Mr. Harper
Gatton, a member of the Board, called the meeting to order and asked that the
Reverend Thomas Fornash, student pastor with the Wesley Foundation on the
University of Kentucky campus, open the meeting with prayer.


     A. Approval of Minutes.

     On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the Board
of Trustees of April 4, 1961, were approved as published.


     B. Approval of Requisitions and Purchase Orders.

     Mr. Peterson read the following letter:
