I have a private quarrel with your dramatic critic; Mr Jamss Agate — he knowo nothing about this, and if he did, I don't sufipose it would-brook his heart. In spite of his position as a drama- tic critic of distinction, I want, as it were, to divorce him from any work of mine, if you take my meaning. On the other hand, I want the publicity of a groat Journal such as yoursa may I therefore be allowed to invite the criticimm of some other gentleman connooted with your paper on any first night on which I may be appearing? This may all seem very obsurd and childish to you, but it 15 the fault of my upbringing. Yours faithfully, Leonard Rees Esq "Sunday Timea" 186 Strand. W.C. 2
