kind letter, though you said I was not

to. I am hoping to have much pleasure ihen
I come to be installed next term and Shall
be glad to see you again. I must put up

advantage of your hospitality this year - though
having, if I recollect rightly, accepted

He will see him in a Short while when

he "comes to be installed." Hardy

was made an Henofary Fellow of Magdalene
College, Cambridge, and was installed

on 2 Nov. 1913. It was on that visit that
he told his old friend Benson of the poems
he had written about his dead wife.
