I have just received a letter from my brother

T. J. Borrow from which it appears he has had leave
of absence-from the 601 the Earl of Orford up to the
present year. He says in a letter dated Wolverton
21st June I826 his Lordship thus writes no blame is
to be attached

Sir if you shoumd require it I will forward this

last letter which my brother has sent to me. I hope

now from that you will have no further objection to
issue an order for the payment of the portion of my
brothers arrears appearing on the two affadavits in
the possession of the General. I—amreempelleé—
te—state—that—my-brethers-arrears~have~been—éebarreé—
I should aet—be— by the unnecessary obstacles
which have been flung in my brothers way in obtaining
his arrears he has been subjected to great inconve-
nience and distress. A speedy anewer on this subject

will much oblige

Your much obliged

Thomas John Borrow was on half pay leave at the date of
this letter. He went to America (Mexico) in 1826, and died
there in 1835.

On the verso of this letter of George Borrow's are some
lines by Borrow in Turkish character.
