Dear Audrey:
Re: House 277 — or 215

Walter Conyous V
As I told you, Walter Conyous has requested a price on House 277
which Farmers Home Administration offered to finance with a
mortgage up to $2,200. The price we originally quoted Conyous
was $2,800. We will give him an additional $200. off the pur-
chase price, making it $2,600, provided he can come up with
the $400. in cash and provided also that the FHA mortgage com—
mitment still stands.
We will also sell him House 215 for $2,600. but I doubt that
FHA would appraise it for even $2,200 in its present condition.
If Conyous is capable of installing paneling, deiling tile, etc.
we could rent him House 215 at $30.00 a month, which is what it
was renting for on March 1, 1969 when it was vacated, let him
go ahead and fix it up with material which we would furnish at
no cost to him, and then let him apply for a FHA mortgage after
the house has been put in good condition. This would depend
on Conyous' ability, on what has to be done to the house, and
other factors. See what you can work out.
Cordially,
Gordon Brown
