has advised Island Creek that Mountain Investment has arranged
for the First National Bank of Prostonsburg to act an escrow
agent in connection with the sale of Hountain Investment prop-
erties at Wheclwright, Kentucky, which are subject to a mort-
gage from Mountain Investment, Inc. to Island Creek dated May
9, 1966, and recorded in the mortgage records of Floyd County,
Kentucky, in Volume 32, page 385.

Mountain Investment has requested that Inland Creek re-
lease its lien of mortgage from six designated lots with improve—
ments thereon situate at Whoelwright and forward to you the
Releases of Mortgage covering said properties. Enclosed hore~
with are five Partial Release of Mortgages covering the follow~
ing property:

Sale of subject house was closed on December 30, l963, and disburse-
ments made by the First National Bank of Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
The net sales price of the house was fih,OO0.00, qlus $30.00 fee for
oroviding the plat. By agreement, 20% of the net sales orice, or
$300.00, plus the 330.00 plat fee, was credited to Mountain Invest~
ment, Inc., and $3,203.00 applied on debt to Island Creek. Aayli- —
cation of these funds must first apply againsfi interest, and since
there was more than 33,200.00 of interest due Island :reek, the
entire amount so aofllied would be deductible as an interest payment.
The stipulated cost of House No. 3I9 to Mountain Investment, as shown
on the closing papers dated November 9, l966, was $733.00.
At the closing, Mr. Ray also paid an additional 125.00 for attorneys
fees, which were remitted directly to Mr. John Allen, by the First
National Bank of Prestonsburg. I do not think this would enter into
our books at all.
If you have any further questions, please advise. We will keen you
‘ advised on subsequent sales as they develop.
