Shakertown Luncheon
The fall faculty meeting has been scheduled at Shakertown on i
Friday, September 8, 9 am — 4 pm. Please let Pat Lloyd know by
Friday, August 25, if you wish to have lunch there. The cost will
be $5.50 plus tax (total $5.78) and the menu is as follows:
roast beef, served with three vegetables, salad, rolls, beverage,
and choice of dessert. Checks should be made payable to Shakertown
at Pleasant Hill, Inc., and given to Pat Lloyd at the meeting.
j Open House in Government Publications Department ‘
In compliance with the many requests GPD will institute a series of
open houses in September on Tuesday afternoons, 3—4 pm. Anyone who
wishes to learn something about the use, organization, or housing
of documents is welcome. No advance registration is necessary but
please sign the attendance sheet upon arrival so the lectures can
take into account particular needs and interests. ‘
The Department should like also to call attention to its circulation .
· policy which will continue to be somewhat-different from the new
  policy to be instituted at M. I. King on September l. Those govern-
ment documents which can be borrowed will circulate for 4 weeks to
all patrons, faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students
alike. _

Library on Saturday, September 2, 1978, at 2 o'clock central daylight
time in the Lobby of the Harry Lee Waterfield Library, Murray,

Beginning September 25, an introductory course on FORTRAN programming
language will be offered by the Computing Center. The Center is
also conducting a class in IBM’s Job Centrol Language. The first
session will be September ll. Both classes are free, but pre-

The fall session of the Kentucky/Tennessee Chapter of the Art
Libraries Society of North America will meet at Berea College,
September 16. The group will be conducted through the library,
' visit the Special Collections area, see the Art Department Library
and Gallery, and have a guided tour of the Berea campus. Lunch at
