October 9, 1939. In the absence of President McVey, Dean Boyd presided.

The minutes of May 9, May 31, and August 193 were read and approved.

Council for two year terms, to succeed Professors J. H. Martin and Frank
Dean Boyd introduced to the Senate new members of that body and also mem-
bers who were on leave during the l938e39 school year.
