- Biography / History
- James T. Hatfield founded the Hatfield Coal Company, based in Covington, Kentucky, in 1892. Later he became the president of the Hatfield-Reliance Coal Company--a 1924 merger of his own company and other coal companies.
- Scope and Content
- The J.T. Hatfield collection on steamboats photographs (undated; 0.3 cubic feet; 38 items) consists of images of steamboats. The collection includes one mounted albumen and one stereocard of the Blanford family from Massachusetts. Noted photographs include a picture of Virginia Hatfield, Louise Hatfield Stickney, and Gerald Ford.
