dance was made.

Proiessor J. Doha;v acting for mean Matthews, present~
ed the names of six students in the College of Law who had
comyleted all requirements for their degrees and asned that
they be recommended to the Board of Trustees for the degree
of Bachelor of Laws. He stated that it was neceSSary that
the degrees be aw rded in time for these gtu2ents to he certi—
fied as haw graduates to the State Board of Bar dmhminers by
July 22, 1969. The'finiversity Faculty voted to recomuend these
six candidates to the Board of Trustees for the degree of

Bachelor of Lamb.

President DicK made two regerts to the faculty. The
first was a rebort progress on the re ort of the dub—
comxittee on the Gifted Student. Immediately after the Fac—
ulty meeting of Ray {0 the materials were forward d to the
Committee or Committees and that committee WIS asked to
Consider the appointment o; a tenoman conmittee to consider the
renort and to make any further recommendations that might seem
desirabre at that time. The committee was meeting June 12. In
addition, consideration has been given and is continuing to be
given to tne allocation of certain funds thet shoald mane it
possible for the gifted students to have part—ti‘e direction
during the coming ye r.

The second statement concerned the reyort of the Comm
mittee on the Role and Comgoeition of the Univer ity Faculty.
This report had been forwarded to the Committee on Committees
with the request that it stufy the recommendations in that
report and if it seemed that othe committees would be needs
ed that they be recommended at the time the report is for—
warded to the committee that is revising the Governing Begun
lations of the University.

President Dickey stated that he hoped to report progress
on these two proposals in the fall.
