- Farmer Henry Clay Prewitt was born on June 29, 1829 in Montgomery County, Kentucky, to James Prewitt (1802-1879) and Henrietta Clay Dawson Prewitt (1812-1890). He married Elizabeth Meteer (1829-) on November 15, 1853; they had one child, Martha Clay Prewitt. Prewitt died on March 21, 1855 in Montgomery County, Kentucky.
