Special Collections is purchasing a collection of around 4,000 early
to mid 19th century books from the Lexington Public Library. The
collection is composed mostly of history and literature and, as a
collection, is a good example of a typical 19th century humanities
library. The collection itself will be here sometime in June and
will be housed in Special Collections. A bibliographical list of the
collection is available now in Special°` P -
