WITH OUR COUNTRY CALLING FOR MATERIALS NEEDED FOR OUR WAR EFFORTS, IT IS
BECOMING MOM DIFFICULT FOR US TO SECURE @EDED REPAIR PARTS FOR OUR l _'
MACHINERY AND OTHER SUPPLY PARTS MCESSARY TO PRODUCE COAL FROM A MINE.
I
THE VERY THINGS THAT WE REAUIE TO KEEP OUR MINE MACHINERY GOING, COPPER,

STEEL, MICA AND THE RUBBER THAT GOES INTO TAPE AND OTHER INSULATING
MATERIAL HAPPEN TO BE THE VERY MA'I'ERIALS THAT OUR COUNTRY NEEDS THE MOST.
THEREFORE, EXPECT EVERY MOTORMAN, MACHINE MAN AND ANY OTHER OPERATOR
OF A PIECE OF MACHINERY TO PERFORM THEIR WORK IN SUCH A MANRER THAT THE
SMALLEST AMOUNT OF SUPPLIES OR REPLACMENTS WILL BE NEEDED FOR THE COAL
TONNAGE PRODUCED.
WE EVERY WORKMAN, MINER, TRACKMAN, PUMPER, TIPPLEMAN, CAR MAN, ·
EECTRICIAN, BLACKSMITH AND ALL OTHERS TO H-ELP US SAVE SPIKES, BOLTS,
STEL TIES, RAIL AND PIECES OF RAIL AND PIECES OF COPPER. A SAVDVG OF
ALL MATERIAL THAT CAN REUSED BY US WILL KEEP US FROM ASKING FOR MW
MATERIAL THAT OUR GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO CONDUCT THE WAR. EVEN THE SCRAP
I A MAERIAIS THAT YOU SAVE, AND WHICH WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO USE, WILL BE
SHIPPED TO AGENCIES THAT WILL PUT THEM INTO OUR WAR EFFORTS.
