- The Lower Benson Presbyterian Church merged with the South Frankfort Presbyterian Church in 1886.
- Scope and Content
- This is a microfilm copy of a typescript scrapbook containing information about the Lower Benson Presbyterian Church and the South Frankfort Baptist Church, both located in Frankfort, Ky. The scrapbook contains information about the two churches' history, biographical sketches of church members, lists of pastors and members, financial reports, newspaper clippings, a copy of the church property deed, and reports made by the Women's Auxiliary from 1921 to 1942. It includes a typescript copy of the minutes of the Lower Benson Presbyterian Church. There are also photographs of Sunday school classes and a portrait of Alice Janes Reading, the church historian who compiled the book.
