Faith's committee includes Rhoda Channing, Adelle Dailey, Jeff Sauer and Pam Schrils. Volunteers needed for planning fall meetings: The fall organizational meetings for the professional and classi- fied staff are being planned by the Professional Activities and Staff Development Committee chaired by Faith Harders. Classified staff interested in working on the program are asked to notify Faith. New professional staff members: _ New professional staff introduced at_a recent Faculty meeting included Lee Hisle, who comes from Henderson Community College to head Lexington Technical Institute‘s new library; Tag Frye, who is working as Reference Librarian at the Med Center on a temporary basis; and Trudi Bellardo and Gerry Webb, who are old—(but not necessarily old) timers joining the professional ranks as they complete their library degrees. Trudi will be Data Services Li- brarian and Gerry will be a Cataloger. Another addition: Brad Grissom, a Library Science student, will be working part-time in Cataloging this summer and, upon completion of his degree in August, will assume a one year, temporary profes- sional appointment in the same position. The Academic Library Mana ement Intern Pro ram, created to assist in the develop- ment of managers for the nat1on's large research and academic li- braries, will pay the librarian's salary while he/she spends a year working with the director of one of the country's top academic li- braries; application deadline is 22 Oct. 76.
