Collection Overview
- Biography / History
- The Informal Club of Lexington, Kentucky, was dedicated to "fellowship and mutual stimulus." It met once a month from October through May. At each meeting, one member read a paper on a general topic, which was then discussed by the members of the club.
- Scope and Content
- The Informal Club records (dated 1929-1985; 2.55 cubic feet; 4 boxes) consist of minutes, a history of the club, and copies of most papers presented to the club from 1929-1985. The papers document the clubs proceedings and the topics discussed during their monthly meetings. Volume 14 has been numbered incorrectly and is designated as volume 15 when it is actually 14.
