Dear Rabbi Ballon:

Thank you so much for the wonderful day
yesterday in.which you entertained the
children of our Primary Departments

I know our children will never fore get the
the actual experience of seeing the
Feast of Lights and the demonstration
of all the joyful activities that
accompany its celebrations
For the past quarter we have been study“

teachers certainly appreciate anything
that helps to portray things more vivid—

I know Lj.ss ire pp, the superintendent

more for our children than we expected
we do feel humbly grateful and I person-

ANNUAL MEETING AND DINNER

The Annual Meeting and Dinner of the Con-
gregation was a huge success. Mrs. Sam
Milner and Mrs. Ben Cohen provided an
unusually fine dinner,

Dr. Sherman Hiller was elected President
of the Congregation to succeed Joe Wile.
Maurice Hymson was elected Vice-president,
Ben Goldfarb, Treasurer and Kenneth Hart,
secretary.

New Board Members elected for a three
year term are Ben Goldfarb, David Wail,
Herschel Weil and Dr. Irving Kannero

Rabbi Eallon spoke if the fibuie itc‘

the Congregation and called attentiOi i
the appeal of the Union of American Heb»
rew Congregations for special assistance
this year.

The plan decided upon by the Board to rew
spend to this appeal is as follows.

Each member on his regular bill for Tem-
ple dues will find an additional item in
the amount of 10% of his dues listed as a
voluntary payment for the Union.

Each member may decide for himself whether

or not to make this suggested contribution
to the Union, but it is hoped that after
reviewing the benefits gained from the
Union as listed in the enclosed circular;
that this VOLUNTARY contribution will be
made. 10% of dues is a suggested minimum.

id Bolotin, has already re
ceived pledges for approx-
imately $11, 000. Its goal
is $18, 000 and EVIERYONE in
the Congregation is urged

to do his full share in
helping the Committee reach
this goal.

Many members have
generously. Many
however, have not yet come
forward to assume their
full responsibility.

We hope there will be no
further delay in helping
the FundfiRaising Committee
wind up its Campaign.

Those who make pledges are
urged to contribute as much
as possible in immediate
cash, in order that the
procedure of taking over
the property will be
facilitated.
