f Annual Staff Meeting ‘
The annual meeting of ACTS is scheduled for Friday, August 4,
at Carnahan House. The session is to begin at 8:30 am with
coffee and donuts, with the meeting following. The staff has
elected to go out for lunch following the meeting, rather than
eating at Carnahan House. _
Mr. Willis and Ms. Harders will both be present at the meeting.
“ If you have any questions you wish them to respond to at the
meeting, please submit them to the Director's Office in the next
U week, in case the questions require extra preparation in order
to be answered fully. Questions may also be directed to them at
the meeting.

` The Kentucky Library Association is sponsoring a pre—conference
workshop, "Grantsmanship for Librarians" to be held September
27-28, 1978, Galt House, Louisville. The seminar is designed to
. present instruction in proposal writing and to provide practice
in proposal preparation. The program will also cover skills
necessary for locating and contacting available sources for
funding. The instructors include Ruth Brown, Associate Director,
University of Kentucky Libraries, and Vivian Hall, University of
Kentucky Geology Librarian, both of whom have had experience in
writing proposals and have attended ASIS and SLA workshops on
grants. William F. Schweri, Staff Associate in the Kentucky
Research Foundation will also serve as an instructor. The
registration deadline is September 7. The $25.00 registration
fee includes materials and lunch on September 27.
