Persons falling in Office and Clerical schedules at secretarial, clerk
typist, and library technician series levels will, in limited areas,
be considered for “eligibility grade change." This applies only for
secretarial grades 14-18 with 2 years working experience, library tech-
nicians I-II with 2 years experience, and clerk typist grades 12-16
with 1 year experience. Eligibility for moving upward is contingent
upon demonstrated excellent performance as reflected by the annual
performance evaluation review and recommendation of the department
Employees who are moved up because of eligibility grade change will be
taken to the end of probation rate for the new grade. Persons already
above the end of probation rate for the new grade will not necessarily
receive an increase.

All persons now eligible for grade change will be considered and
notified within the next few weeks. Questions should be directed to
Dotty Green in the Director's Office.
A luncheon meeting for the library support staff is being planned
for late August. Tentatively, the date August 21st has been set.
Suggested items for the meeting agenda should be submitted to Paul
