 PREFACE.

The Voice of Praise contains just such music as Sunday

Schools delight to sing.

The Voice of Praise includes hymns for both the young

and the grown-up people, and all are the very best.

I'IAI

The Voice of Praise is intended for practical use in the
Song Service of the Sunday-School, Prayer Meeting, Praise Meeting,

and all other meetings where good gospel songs are appropriate.

ILA‘IW

The Voice of Praise presents music suited to all occasions,
such as Children’s Day, Christmas, Easter, Anniversaries, Sunday-School

Concerts, Celebrations of all kinds, etc., etc.

i lnl

The Voice of Praise recognizes the fact that an improved
taste demands better material for the Service of Song, and, while it
does not contain any music that has the soul taken out of it by excessive
technical polishing, nothing has been inserted which does not earnestly
present some phase of the old Gospel theme—Christ in His character

and His work.
