[Copyright 1917 P.F. Volland Company, Chicago] (Printed verso reads: "To Every American Home, Greetings: Few of us decorate on our National Holidays, not because we don't want to, but because less than ten per cent of us own Flags. During this Campaign canvassing organizations committees will call on every house to get at least one `American Flag on Every Home', and Flags in every store, office and public building. Then everbody will have these Flags ready for all future National Holidays without any future cost. All States, including the Governor of this State, and our County and City Governments, newspapers and all organizations of this city, are backing this Flag Movement. This city has promised to our Nation - `Every Block a 100 Per Cent Decorated Block' on every National Holiday! Yours For Keeping That Promise True, The Flag Campaign Committee."
