Biography / History
The Garden Club of Kentucky was founded in 1931. It is divided into five districts: Audubon, Blue Grass, Dogwood, Limestone, and Mt. Laurel. The club provides education and resources to promote gardening, floral design, and environmental literacy.

Scope and Content
The Garden Club of Kentucky records (dated 1931-1973; 1.8 cubic feet; 4 boxes) consists of presidential records, minutes, club reports, programs, membership lists, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and photographs, which document the activities of the Garden Club beginning from its founding in 1931. The meeting minutes and the presidential records comprise the bulk of the collection. The minutes include the minutes of the committee meetings, Board of Governors meetings, annual reports, Executive Board meetings, Regional and County Garden Club meetings, and General Assembly meetings. Also included are the articles of incorporation and constitution of the Club. There is a yearbook for the years 1932-1942, club bulletins from 1943-1955, and the financial records for 1931-1947.
