Dear Victor and Carolyn:

Not having heard anything from J, I presume he is not going to some down in
July, and I am going to be too busy in August (several visiting firemen, so to
speak, which will use up the best of my time). In that case, I won't be able to see
you until September, unless you want to come over July 27th, whether or not J.
comes down. If this reaches you in time and you prefer to come the 20th, even better.
I thought I would let you know. If you can come the 20th or 27th, fine: otherwise
we will have to put: our next visit off until some time in September.

Hoping you are bothwvell. By the way I forgot to say how much I liked the
lit tle books, Carolyn' s history of the press, and Victor's digression. I thought
Carolyn s was particularly good reading, a very good little book. The dialbgue on the
Roman letter is very well done too. I appreciated the remark about men not preceding
gently,m md "even the gent] -e teachings of Christ have not met with success.” That is
unfortwnately quitex true.

est wishes to you both. Hope to see you soon.
Yours in Christ, ,
