Collection Overview

Biography / History
The Coal Information Network of Kentucky (CINK) was created to identify sources of information about coal and provide access to that data in the Commonwealth. At a meeting held December 9, 1981 at the Institute for Mining and Minerals Research in Lexington, Ky, CINK was created to "promote communication among groups interested in coal information, identify coal information sources, and improve access to coal information in Kentucky." Its membership is diverse, including public librarians, representatives from the coal industry and science librarians.
Scope and Content
