- Biography / History
- The Kentucky Christian Education Society and the Louisville District Education Society were affiliated with the Disciples of Christ. They promoted the education of young men entering the ministry. The Louisville group disbanded in April 1859, and its functions were taken over by the Kentucky society.
- Scope and Content
- The Kentucky Christian Education Society minute book (dated 1854-191; 0.06 cubic feet; 1 item) contains minutes of the meetings of the Kentucky Christian Education Society and of the Louisville District Education Society from November 7, 1854 to October 14, 1921. The minutes reflect the activities of both societies and their efforts at educating young men entering the ministry for the Disciples of Christ.
