Dr, F. W, Rankin, _
Lexington, Kentucky.
Dear Doctor Rankin:
Ls spokesman for our Sisters, may I con-
gratulate you upon the honor recently conferred on you by
the A.M.A. We are all very happy that this distinction
has come to you, and hope that you will go thru the year
with flying colors. Our best wishes to you.
We have had a very good year so far and
are expecting a big summer. We hope to be opening our
new addition within a couple of weeks and are anxiously
awaiting our opening.
The new building is certainly beautiful.
The entrance and main lobby are lovely. On the first floor
we also are going to have a cafeteria for the doctors and
nurses and on the seventh floor, is a coffee shop which is
not to be opened until later on. hash division is to have
its own laboratory and the laboratories are grouped on the
second, third and fourth floors. The obstetrical depart-
ment have their delivery rooms on the fifth floor just
thru from our operating rooms; there will be two nurseries
instead of one. The ambulance entrance is at the back
going directly into the basement where there is an adjoin-
ing emergency examination room and x-ray equipment. Every-
thing has been arranged for convenience and efficiency and
we think it will be as modern and up-to-date as possible.
We also will have our own pharmacy.

 - It would make us extremely happy if you
would pay us a visit, even if only for an hour or two and
I do wish you would come back up this way soon.
Please give my regards to Miss Weigel.
Sincerely, I
