- Biography / History
- Hattie May Lawson (1873-1958) was born in Tennessee, but lived much of her life in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She worked as a housekeeper and a nurse, and never married.
- Scope and Content
- The Hattie Lawson postcards (dated 1904-1922; 0.02 cubic feet; 1 folder) comprise 72 postcards sent to Hattie Lawson by friends and family that document travel in the United States and Canada during the early 20th century. The bulk of the postcards are from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri, but the collection also contains cards from numerous other states and one card from Canada. The collection is organized by location depicted on the postcard. Of particular interest is a 1918 postcard sent from Camp Zachary Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky.
