Description
- Identifier: MS LAT KY VI
- Summary: A Book of Hours with a suite of illustrations possibly from the Boucicaut School, with wear indicating use.
- Origin: mid-15th century, northern France, probably Paris
- Decoration: Partial page illuminations and strewn borders introducing Offices. Single-line illuminated initials with alternating red and blue highlighting throughout. Line bars embellished with red and blue throughout.
- Provenance: Gift of Philip Sang, 1961.
- Notes: fol. 15v: small palimesest to correct in 3rd line from top. z-shaped Tironian ets throughout. fol. 123v very faded.
- Script: Gothic batarda
- Support: Parchment
- Binding: Late-18th century or early 19th century binding, with marbled fly leaves.
- Layout: 16 long lines. Simple ink ruling.
