Scope and Content
The collection consists of two letters from Wendell Berry to an unknown poet referred to as Mr. Kingston. The first letter mentions his inability to contribute to a Thoreau project due to other commitments. Berry says that he would like to write on Thoreau in the future and encloses a prospectus for his recently published volume Findings. In the second letter, he mentions his recent purchase of fifty acres of land to save it from development and thanks Kingston for sending him a photograph. The collection also includes a postcard from Tanya Berry to Mr. Kingston.
