Biography / History
The Murray family lived in Franklin County, Ky. The DeLime family was presumably related to the Murrays. Louis Amable DeLime was an inventor and distiller who patented two inventions in 1869. One of these inventions was a sugar refining process and the other was a distillation project.
Scope and Content
This is a collection of papers of the Murray and DeLime families of Kentucky. The Murray family papers comprise the bulk of the collection, and include business and a few personal letters, bills, and two ledgers. There are several funeral notices with the Murray papers, and a few photographs. Other materials relate to Louis Amable DeLime, and include patent office publications, information from the National Association of Inventors, and other papers relating to his inventions. Also included are several timetables of the Lexington & Frankfort Railroad.
