Collection Overview

Scope and Content
This is a collection of fragmentary correspondence, announcements, student publications, and organizational records from various Transylvania University organizations including the Student Government Association, Greek letter organizations, and the Transylvania Women's Club. The bulk of materials are printed announcements, invitations, and T-Books (1898-1974), which are student handbooks printed by the student government. Also included are student publications such as THE TRANSYLVANIAN (1891-present), a literary journal; FREE SPEECH (1987-present), an alternative student newspaper; and the university yearbook, CRIMSON (1897-1992). Fragmentary correspondence of officers of the Student Government Association is also present, along with campaign literature and miscellaneous announcements of the Senior Steering Committee.
