Biography / History
Physician. John M. Wilson was born in Falmouth, Ky., March 7, 1832, was schooled in Falmouth and entered the Ohio Medical College in Cincinnati from which he graduated in 1854. He settled in Williamstown, Ky, where he engaged in the practice of medicine. In 1860 he was married to Miss Nannie Kerr of Fayette County, Ky. and the two had nine children.
Scope and Content
This ledger is the account book of Dr. John M. Wilson, a Williamstown, Ky. physician. The account book has a front flyleaf that is a facsimile page bearing Dr. Wilson's signature, dated January 27th, 1876. The back flyleaf includes a photocopy of an article about Dr. Wilson's long tenure, 43 years, as a physician in Williamstown. Some notes are included in the materials.
